Bob (Leader)
Soprano Sax

Bob's musical career started with the alto saxophone that his father bought when music lessons
were offered at Lexington, MA grade schools. His instructor for the next six years was Donald J. Gillespie,
Lexington Music Director, who was active in the Lexington music curiculum for the next 50 years.
The first group Bob was a member of was the TomCats, which had a limited number of playing dates
for Lexington High dances. During this time his father brought home another instrument, a five string banjo.
Bob also bought a tenor saxophone while he was still in high school. These two instruments were, eventually,
the ones that would shape his part time career.

Bob put away his music temporarily, after completing high school for marriage, to attend night school,
and provide for his new family, but played the guitar and banjo for his children at home.
